Job Description

We recently completed a comprehensive plumbing and gas project for the new Chick-Fil-A located in Chesterfield, MI. This ground-up project involved a full scope of plumbing work, from underground rough-ins to finish installations, ensuring the restaurant is set up for seamless operation. Our team worked closely with general contractors and other trades to coordinate every aspect of the installation process, maintaining an efficient timeline and attention to detail.

Scope of Work Included:

• • Restrooms: Installation of (4) flush valve toilets, (1) urinal, and (4) lavatories with faucets. We also provided (5) floor drains and floor cleanouts, making sure to meet all accessibility and sanitary standards for high-volume use.
• • Sanitary Line: Installed (18) floor drains, (7) floor sinks, and (2) trench drains, including specialized plumbing for the kitchen and food prep areas. This was crucial for proper grease waste management, ensuring compliance with health and safety codes.
• • Kitchen Area: Connected and made final plumbing installations for sinks and fixtures, including (1) mop sink, (1) undermount sink, (5) hand sinks, and (2) ice maker water lines, ensuring efficient and reliable operations. We also installed water lines for rethermalizer equipment and provided condensate lines for the cooler and freezer units.
• • Utility Systems: Installed plumbing and gas to (3) tankless water heaters with a recirculation pump, along with a backflow prevention system and pressure-regulating valve on the main water line. We also ran irrigation lines and installed frost-free hose bibs to ensure long-term operational reliability.

Additional Work Included:

• Plumbing for (3) supply water lines for tea and coffee makers, (1) eyewash station, and various connection points for specialized kitchen equipment.
• Gas piping for building and RTU’s as per the provided plans, with necessary testing and certification.
• Installation of a filter system for potable water, and connections for CO2 tanks and oil lines for kitchen appliances.

Conclusion:

This Chick-Fil-A plumbing and gas project was a highly collaborative effort, with coordination between multiple contractors to deliver a fully operational and compliant plumbing system for the restaurant. Despite the quick deadlines and strict plans and regulations, we successfully overcame every challenge. As this was our first time being part of a Chick-Fil-A project, we are highly requested to assist with all future projects. With the work now complete, the new restaurant is equipped with reliable and efficient plumbing, ready to serve the community for years to come.
