Shelby Mechanical was brought in to complete a targeted plumbing upgrade for a commercial restroom renovation and beverage station addition for a Wendy’s Location. Focused on efficiency, code compliance, and minimal disruption, our team delivered a clean, professional installation that aligned perfectly with the project specifications and schedule.
Bathroom Renovation & Fixture Upgrades
Our team installed all-new plumbing to tie into the existing sanitary and vent lines, verified onsite for accuracy and code compliance. The bathroom areas included:
- (2) Tank-style toilets and (2) wall-mounted lavatories with faucets, mixing valves, and trap wraps
- (1) Floor drain per restroom, each with Sure Seal trap inserts
- (1) Toilet replacement using the existing drain and water supply
- (1) Lavatory replacement with new wall-mounted sink and faucet using existing lines
Foam pipe insulation was installed on all water lines, and all water lines were PEX with copper stub-outs for durability.
Utility Sinks & Specialty Installations
We delivered precise plumbing installations for a variety of utility and commercial-grade sinks:
- (3) Stainless steel drop-in sinks with S1 T6 faucets
- (1) Stainless steel double drop-in sink with S6 T10 faucet
- (1) Stainless steel scrub sink with S15 faucet
- (3) Floor sinks, including one cast iron floor sink with a cast iron drain to handle high-temperature sterilizer waste
- (1) Replacement 24″x24″ mop sink with faucet, reusing existing drain and supply lines
We also installed a customer-supplied in-line water softener and filtration system, ensuring clean, treated water supply throughout the facility.
Safety & Specialty Equipment Connection
Our plumbing scope also supported key safety and utility features within the facility:
- (1) Floor drain installed beneath the ice machine
- Water line supply to both the refrigerator and the ice machine
- (1) Eyewash station supplied and installed
- (1) RPZ backflow preventer with shut-offs for cross-connection protection
- Water lines and drains installed for the sterilizer
Materials & Coordination
Shelby Mechanical supplied all plumbing fixtures unless otherwise specified in the project documentation. Drainage and vent piping was installed using SCH40 PVC. Our team made a dedicated site visit to mark saw cuts for concrete work.
